GTX-A Samseong Station Rebar Omission Prompts Land Ministry Audit

South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has launched an audit after a major rebar omission was confirmed in construction on the GTX-A Samseong Station section. The issue was discovered in November last year, but reinforcement work was reportedly delayed. The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korea National Railway have also begun related audits. The ministry said it would “thoroughly verify” the reinforcement plan.
