Taereung Golf Course Housing to Start in 2029 as Koo Pushes Faster Supply

Deputy Prime Minister Koo Yoon-cheol convened a real estate ministers’ meeting and said the government would accelerate housing supply schedules as much as possible. The key project is the Taereung golf course site, where construction for 6,800 homes will be moved up by one year to 2029. Other public sites, including a military site in Gangseo, are being pushed for construction starts in 2027. The government will also review supply of non-apartment housing such as officetels and check whether business loans are being diverted for purposes other than intended.
