Jang Hee-sun, 26, who lives in North Jeolla Province, contracted COVID-19 in 2021. The infection itself cleared within a month, but severe aftereffects followed and her normal life came to a halt. While much of society has returned to daily routines after the pandemic, some recovered patients have not regained normal life because symptoms have continued long after infection.
