According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on May 14, the daytime temperature in Wonju, Gangwon Province, rose to 31.5 C on Thursday, and temperatures are expected to climb again on Friday, reaching as high as 32 C in some areas. The heat seen today is forecast to persist into tomorrow, bringing daytime conditions close to those usually felt in early June.
