President Lee Jae-myung Joins Rice Planting in Daegu’s Gunwi During TK Visit

President Lee Jae-myung visited Daegu and North Gyeongsang, known as the TK region, on the 15th, stopping in his hometown of Andong in North Gyeongsang and in Gunwi County, Daegu. Lee first met his former elementary school teacher in Andong, then toured the site of the planned Daegu-North Gyeongsang integrated new airport. He later visited a rural area in Gunwi County and took part in rice planting. The itinerary combined a check on a major regional issue, the integrated airport site, with a visit to an agricultural community. The airport project is tied to local transport and development concerns, while the Gunwi stop highlighted rural livelihood issues.
