In Buk-gu, Gwangju, shop buildings occupying the Wonhyo Valley area of Mudeungsan National Park are being demolished. According to Yonhap News on May 12, the Mudeungsan National Park Office of the Korea National Park Service is removing commercial buildings that have been occupying the area. The action targets shops taking up valley space inside the national park, and some were reportedly not relocated even after receiving compensation.
