According to Maeil Business Newspaper (mk.co.kr), the two sides agreed during the talks on keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and not allowing Iran to obtain nuclear arms. The visit marked Trump’s first trip to Beijing in nine years and came about six months after the leaders met in Busan last October.
